AWA+D joins Dwell on Design

Dwell on DesignAWA+D has made great strides in the last few years to refocus the organization’s efforts to support our mission and increase our exposure to the design community. This year has included a push to leverage our name and relationships; to support other organizations that serve the design profession and in turn, for them to assist us. We think this is appropriate considering all organizations are increasingly scrutinizing their place among “the competition” and the value they bring to their members. As part of this endeavor AWA+D is excited to have a booth at the 2012 Dwell on Design (DOD) show, held this Friday, June 22 through Sunday, June 24. Come visit us at Booth #141.

DOD is now in its seventh year and is considered the West Coast’s largest design show. The three-day conference focuses on everything related to modern living – green technology, architectural consultations, innovative design, home furnishing, fixtures and even decor. The show even includes home tours, panel discussions and demonstrations. For those who are interested in design resources and immersing themselves in the latest trends, Dwell invites attendees to walk the exhibit space to be introduced to the supporters of the design world (organizations like AWA+D and schools of architecture and design), experience a pop-up village of prefabs or just lounge around on modern indoor and outdoor furniture.

AWA+D’s presence at the show is an opportunity to showcase our members, broadcast our history and benefits to a broader audience, and hopefully discover insights into the needs and desires of industry insiders. Dwell advertises that more than 23,000 design trade and consumers will be attending the three-day event; if you’re someone that fits within that group we hope you’ll visit us.

This is such an amazing opportunity for our organization to have a face in the architecture and design community. Many thanks to our PR Guru, Haily Zaki, for helping us make this happen!
